After the recent introduction of Google's Project Glass, Apple has recently filed a patent for their own (probably much cooler) alternative. Codenamed Apple iGlass the technology would be like a wearable iPad and will display apps, video, images and overlay information on the world around you in real time. Like Google's solution the iGlass would project the images directly onto your eyes giving the illusion of total immersion and blurring the lines between technology and reality. Yesterday's science fiction is making huge leaps towards becoming today's reality and it seems before too long we may be walking around with Terminator 2 style Heads Up Displays and saying 'I'll be back' until it stops being funny.
