SoVibrant are thrilled to announce their appointment as Workplace Consultants on the West Offices scheme for City of York Council. Appointed by York Investors LLP, SoVibrant will be working closely with the Developers team, Architects Crease Strikland Parkins and the Councils project team to ensure all of the Councils operational requirements are catered for within the internal planning of the new Headquarters.
The Council is undertaking a major project to rationalise its current office accommodation from sixteen buildings to four, including the provision of a new customer centre. The purpose-built York Customer Centre is the single most important focal point for the new headquarters building. The new customer facility will allow quick, simple and easy access to services in one place in a modern customer environment that supports the overall customer access strategy.
SoVibrant will be undertaking face to face consultation with staff and directorates to gain a detailed understanding of the future business requirements. SoVibrant will also be assisting with initiatives around flexible working, the reduction of paper filing and implementation of new working practices to help the Council make the transition as easy as possible.
Having worked with the Council in 2009 on their pilot ‘Office of The Future’ scheme, SoVibrant will also be working alongside the architectural team to develop an overall interior concept, creating an inspirational environment for the staff and visitors who interact with the building.
