Boutique your Hotel!

After attending a fantastic seminar last Friday with Scarletopus at our lovely friend’s Steelcase Solutions’ Leeds offices, I thought I would share with you one of the incredible projects that was showcased.

The below images show an artwork, or should I say graffiti, installation ..... Panic Room by Tilt.  The French graffiti artist, Tilt has taken over one half of a Marseille hotel room (Au vieux panier) in graffiti decoration, whilst the other half remains complete blank!  A clear line divides the room with every surface on the grafitti side completely covered in tags, drips and "throw ups", including excessive detailing over wall mirrors and dressing tables.

The room took a whole week to complete and I definitely think it achieves what the artist wanted .... for people to appreciate any type of graffiti.  I have to say though, I can’t really imagine staying in such chaos!  What do you think?

US Air Force Graveyard Graffiti

A US Air Force graveyard in the Arizona desert has been turned into a gallery for more than 30 of the world's best urban artists. 'The Boneyard Project' seeks to resurrect disused planes from throughout America's military history by letting the graffiti artists paint them. They say a picture speaks a thousand words and in this case every one of those words would be 'awesome'.
