San Francisco Toothpick Tours


35 Years in the making and using 100,000 toothpicks, mentalist artist Scott Weaver's kinetic sculpture 'Rolling Through The Bay' provides multiple ping pong tours through the streets, neighbourhoods, and attractions of San Francisco. Weaver spent approximately 3000 hours completing this amazing piece and has even sourced different types of toothpicks from around the world depending on the nature of the area of the structure;


" I have used different brands of toothpicks depending on what I am building. I also have many friends and family members that collect toothpicks in their travels for me. For example, some of the trees in Golden Gate Park are made from toothpicks from Kenya, Morocco, Spain, West Germany and Italy. The heart inside the Palace of Fine Arts is made out of toothpicks people threw at our wedding."
