Concorde, also known as 'le Concorde', was developed in the mid 60's as a joint venture between Britain and France.
With its beautiful delta wing design and distinctive droop nose section, Concorde became an instant design classic. The supersonic passenger plane could cruise at Mach 2.04 (1350mph) and managed to cut London to New York flight times in half, once recording a staggering 2 hours 56 minutes.
The horrific crash of flight 4590 in 2000 led ultimately to its retirement, however the instantly recognisable design will ensure Concorde’s place in aviation design history.
